WOW, WOW, WOW, what a fabulous Lady Elaine is! Not just your average photography service! From initial contact to creation of the fantastic Story book album Elaine was committed, personable and professional! This was no ordinary wedding and Elaine is not just an ordinary photographer! We had a truly international wedding, combining the cultures of the British and the Gambian Mandinkas over 2 days with hundreds of happy guests. This was then taken and interpreted into a truly exceptional piece of work by Elaine to give us a unique Story book album which has been admired by many around the world, all who have said that they have never seen such an outstanding and unusual wedding album. My initial enquiry to Elaine was handled quickly and in a very warm and friendly manner leading me to feel confident and comfortable to take the enquiry further. We had several visits and phone calls to discuss the requirements and to see samples of her work. Despite me being in France organising a wedding in Gambia Elaine seemed to make the whole process easy. With so much to do leading up to the wedding this was a great relief to know I didn’t have any worried about the photographer. As the wedding was in Gambia Elaine flew out free of charge for the weeks celebrations, she embraced the local culture and people with her boundless energy and passion. Once we arrived in Gambia we finalised arrangements for the wedding photography to ensure Elaine was going to capture exactly what we required during the 2 day process. Elaine captured the action naturally without anyone really noticing, which was reflected in the relaxed, natural and very happy looking people in the photos she took, she was a part of the occasion without interrupting the enjoyment. Elaine was always prepared to listen and act on the day to requests by me and my husband to take pictures of special people or activities taking place. There was no worrying about the time running out or the number of pictures Elaine would take. The most difficult part for us was to select the wedding photographs from the hundreds taken over the 2 days for the album. As Elaine, myself and my husband only had a few days in the same country together she took the time to come to our home just a few days after the wedding to show us the photo’s. There were too many to choose from so Elaine came round a second night to allow us to finish the selection process. The photo’s managed to make their way on-line courtesy of Elaine before she and the other wedding guests had even returned home. What a service! Elaine and I met again after a short time to review the final choice, Elaine managed to help me to reduce the pictures so they could all go into one album, there was no way I could afford 2 albums and Elaine didn’t want to sell me something I couldn’t afford! That was all the hard work from me, now Elaine really had her work cut out to start the process of making the album. This must have taken hours of work to arrange the selection of more than 300 very colourful pictures into 50 pages in such a truly artistic way using photo editing facilities to turn the photo’s into something which compares to a production by the top magazine and book publishers! Like all the best films we had several takes before agreeing the final version. Elaine was happy to listen to me making requests to change background colours, move photo’s around, add and take picture out. As I was outside of the UK this process was very easy and was done on-line and via phone calls from Elaine. The final edition of the Gambian Wedding album is on line for you to see what a perfect result achieved through hard work, lots of time and patience and communication from Elaine. http://weddingphotos-video.co.uk/blog/?p=1414 The Album came to me in time for me to be able to take it back to Gambia only a few weeks later. Elaine was aware of the deadline and went all out working day and night to make sure it was ready for my return visit to Gambia. The Parents books and the small pocket books were just as amazing as the main album, the quality is superb, these albums have been given out around the world and admired by many with nothing but lots of compliments on the artistic talents and superb natural photography. Both Pocket books and parent books are better than anything you can produce at your local supermarket Photoshop! The price of Elaine’s service was not the cheapest you can get but taking into account the time taken and the final quality it’s excellent value for money! It’s a good job Elaine didn’t charge for the time she put in otherwise I’d be bankrupt by now, she spent so much time not just at the wedding but in pre planning and then selection and processing of the photo’s before producing the final album, I’m sure she put in hundreds of hours of work which is reflected in the finished product! The name “reellife photography” is reflected in the results! Deposits and a small payment were made prior to the wedding then we agreed a payment plan afterwards to allow me to pay in instalments to spread the cost. My father’s words sum up the final results “XTRAORDINARY, AMAZING, UNIQUE”. Elaine’s enthusiasm and professionalism for photography and people gave us an album to make the wedding memories last for life! Many many thanks to Elaine for your hard work from Denise and Bax Camara, all who attended the wedding and those who have seen the final results!
