My name is CJ (Claire in full) and Im a professional female photographer that loves taking photographs of weddings; its as simple as that really!

I describe myself as a modern reportage or modern documentary wedding and portrait photographer, which basically means that I like to tell stories in photographs. Its all about setting the scene and following a story through to the end of an eventful and beautiful day. Its also important as a reportage photographer to capture the tiny details that occur all around me some of which you may otherwise have missed.

My degree was film and Photography and I think it helps to tell you that Im a bit of a film buff too I watch movies the way I look at photographs frame by frame/ shot by shot as the story is revealed. I know that every tiny detail in a film is there for a reason; its an integral part of the story and this is how I approach my work as a documentary photographer. Youve chosen the location, the colours, the flowers, the dress, the food and the husband or wife (!) for a reason and so, its those details of the day that say so much about you. It is this that your wedding photographer must capture... and I hope you can tell from examples of my work on my site, that this is what I do well.

I have a studio in West London too and love it when wedding clients come and work there with me whether its pre or post wedding sessions.

So, a bit about the non photography me. Well Im a fun, down to earth, polite, professional and creative person. Im happily married to a South African so am lucky that we get to travel to the sun now and then meaning Im a social, outgoing and confident person when meeting new people in new situations. Im told Im likeable and that my energy is contagious!
